Tropical Storm Karen is currently holding just below hurricane strength with sustained winds of just under 65 mph. Karen is growing in size and is forecast to continue growing slowly in strength as it passes over warm waters the next few days. Weather conditions currently are unlikely to permit it to strengthen beyond a category 1 hurricane. Longer term Karen may strengthen further but its forecasted path does not take it near land.
